The 2023 Taipei Floral Festival has officially kicked-off in March. To attract the public to admire Taipei’s natural blossom and the great outdoors, the Department of Information and Tourism (TPEDOIT) will hold the “Floral Picnic” event at Daan Forest Park between March 18 and 25.
The agency invites everyone to bring family and friends to Daan Forest Park to enjoy a great picnic experience in a surrounding filled with tree shades, natural breeze, and casual music on the greens. It also reminds participants to avoid the use of disposable dining utensils to help protect our natural environment.
According to TPEDOIT, the venue for the event is the newly established picnic area established next to the basketball court inside the park. Reservations for the grand picnic began on March 3, and the limit was reached within a mere 30 minutes. Those successfully reserving a spot will receive a limited 2023 Taipei Floral Festival picnic mat and accompanying beverages. Those without reservations are also invited to bring their own picnic mat and food to the venue to enjoy outdoor fun at the park.
In addition to live music performances, the event will also feature a special zone allowing visitors to experience the game of cornhole. There will also be a number of installation artworks at the park for individuals to take photos or selfies by themselves.
Taipei City Government will also join the Friends of Daan Forest Park Foundation in sponsoring the “One-hundredth Picnic Day” on March 26, inviting those interested to come to the park during springtime and experience a quality and friendly picnic environment.
