Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC) is joining force with Cathay United Bank to organize the 2023 Rock Beitou festivities between 2 PM and 8 PM at the Beitou MRT Maintenance Depot on May 20. Members of the Taipei Metro Go! App can apply for free admission tickets. The tickets are limited in supply, so act fast!
For those interested, how can you acquire the free tickets? The process is fairly straight-forward: Simply download the Taipei Metro Go! App and sign up for membership. On the activity page, choose and join either “Team Jamie” or “Team Train” to receive one admission ticket to the 2023 Rock Beitou event. On the day of the event (May 20), the team members are encouraged to wear the colors representing each team (or put on related accessories) – white for Team Jamie and blue for Team Train. The team with the highest number of attendees will be eligible for a prize raffle.
The concert will highlight local rock bands – Chih Siou, Mixer, Ozone, Sorry Youth, Wendy Wander, Hormone Boys, and Icyball. The performances will last from the afternoon through nighttime.
Furthermore, the “Expert Hands-on Workshop” of TRTC will be open for registration via the agency’s Facebook fan page starting April 24. Members who successfully sign up for the workshop will be able to take a chartered train from MRT Shilin Station directly to the depot on May 20 and experience the various functions of the facility. Only 100 positions are available, so hurry!
