In response to rising popularity of green tourism, the Department of Information and Tourism (TPEDOIT) joined hands with Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Service to offer limited-time, double-discount deals for the Beitou-Zhuzihu Route (Route S9).
The first wave of promotions will include five different ticket packages, highlighting affordable price and store coupons. The second wave of the campaign will involve collaboration with tour company to introduce six half-day tour packages with themes ranging from waterfall sightseeing to hiking, which starts at prices as low as NT$399.
According to TPEDOIT, this is the third consecutive year which it has introduced bargains and deals to promote the Beitou-Zhuziku Line. For this year, the agency will incorporate the Taipei Fun Pass into five different packages for the first time – with the lowest one starting at NT$119! The passholder can take unlimited rides on the Beitou-Zhuzihu Line, as well as on MRT and city buses in Taipei, New Taipei, and Keelung (excluding 4-digit intercity bus routes).
The 5 different ticket packages will also come with gift coupons as well. Among these packages, “A” and “B” packs will go on sale first, each coming with coupons and deals exchangeable at a number of stores along the bus route. The remaining 3 packages will be available in July and sold through KKday, Lion Travel’s website, and other designated stores.
The second wave of promotion, which introduces six half-day tour packages in partnership with Lion Travel, will be led by professional guides and start at MRT Xinbeitou Station. The themes highlighted by the different tours include “Nostalgia,” “Flower Season Must-visit,”, and “Farm Hands-on Experience.” Participants can also enjoy discounts at Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Service partner stores along the way.
Furthermore, an extra tour “Decoding Yangmingshan” will be available under a buy-one-get-one-free bargain for NT$798. Only 30 packages of the extra tour will be available, so act fast!
