The 2023 Dadaocheng Summer Festival will continue to hold events and offer bargains in the month of August! There will be a second wave of photo submission campaign and an event offering participants a chance to bring home a free Bravo mug. Meanwhile, the fireworks will continue with a 360-second-long pyrotechnic show on Wednesdays and the 480-second-long extravaganza on August 20.
According to the Department of Information and Tourism (TPEDOIT), the summer festival is now entering the final two weeks. The fireworks on August 9 and the next show on August 16 will both consist of a 360-second-long display. The closing firework finale slated for August 20 will comprise a 480-second-long event featuring high altitude fireworks.
In addition, the organizers will invite celebrities including golden melody award winners and pop stars to entertain the audience with exciting performances. The agency reminds those planning on attending the show that the starting time of summer festival fireworks in August will be delayed to 8:35 PM, in compliance with guidelines from the Civil Aeronautics Administration.
Furthermore, there will be a promotion campaign giving away limited-edition Bravo beer mugs through August 20. To enter, participants will have to submit a photo taken at the snapshot area – the graffiti wall outside Floodgate 5, wharf area, Dadaocheng Wharf Cargo Market, or Croquet Ground public art display – and upload it to one’s social media account with hashtag “#大稻埕夏日節“. He or she will also have to add Taipei City Government’s LINE account as friend. Finally, he or she should acquire uniform invoices or proofs of purchase of spending NT$1,000 or more at either partner stores, Dadaocheng Wharf Cargo Market, or Blue Highway ferry operators. Bring these items to the information counter at Floodgate 5 to exchange for the Limited-Edition Bravo Beer Mug. Supplies are limited, so act fast!
