The awards ceremony for the “25th Taiwan Quality Programs for Children and Youth Awards,” organized by the Taiwan Media Watch Foundation, was held on December 13. Taipei Broadcasting Station delivered an outstanding performance this year (2025). The program Republic of Dreams/Adolescent Problems and Solutions, hosted by Wei-Hua Lin, once again won the “Gender Equality Education Promotion Award,” while Noblen Association, hosted by Ying-Jen Li, was selected as a “Recommended Children’s and Youth Program.”
Now in its 25th year, the “Taiwan Quality Programs for Children and Youth Awards” recognize excellence across two main categories, Visual Media and Audio Media, with evaluations further divided by age group. The awards encourage creators to produce high-quality content that combines educational value with strong audience appeal. The Foundation also designates “Recommended Programs” to promote a wider range of noteworthy children’s and youth programming to the public.
The award-winning Republic of Dreams/Adolescent Problems and Solutions, hosted by Wei-Hua Lin, focuses on adolescent mental health and is built around authentic stories of growing up. Through these narratives, the program helps listeners better understand the emotions and circumstances faced by teenagers. It aims to accompany parents and adults as they set aside preconceived notions and view the world from a young person’s perspective, replacing blame with empathy and offering attentive listening to support youth through the emotional challenges of adolescence.
Meanwhile, Noblen Association, hosted by Ying-Jen Li, centers on “legal issues commonly encountered in teenagers’ daily lives.” Presented in a engaging and approachable manner, the program introduces legal concepts in an accessible way. The program’s title, “Noblen,” is a phonetic play on the English phrase “No Problem,” reflecting its aim to present legal concepts in an accessible and engaging way, thereby enhancing legal literacy among young people, fostering respect for the law, and helping them learn how to protect their rights.
