The annual celebration marking the 10th anniversary of Pokémon GO invites Trainers around the world to join 2026 Pokémon GO Fest: Global. Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation has partnered with Pokémon GO to create a Pokémon-themed venue at Xinzhongshan. Starting today, a series of fun experiences that connect the game with everyday life will be rolled out, inviting the public to ride Taipei Metro and set off on a fantastical Pokémon adventure.

Zhongshan Metro Art Gallery Becomes a Pokémon GO Photo Hotspot
From today through July 28, Zhongshan Metro Art Gallery has become a Pokémon GO photo hotspot, bringing together a variety of Pokémon appearing at 1:1 scale and attracting fans to take commemorative photos at this limited-time check-in destination.

In-Game Event Postcard Collection at Metro Stations
The Pokémon GO mobile game is also launching a simultaneous event. From today through July 12, Trainers who spin station PokéStops across the entire Taipei Metro network, excluding Circular Line and Maokong Gondola, will have a chance to receive in-game event postcards, with five designs available.

Pokémon GO Event Series Begins
July 11-12: Event at Xinzhongshan
"Calling all Trainers!" From 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on July 11 and 12, 2026 Pokémon GO Fest: Global will officially take place at Xinzhongshan Linear Park. Pokémon GO has prepared Pikachu- and Eevee-themed hats for visitors to pick up. Those who complete event tasks at Xinzhongshan can also receive a hand fan, postcard, or sticker, as everyone is invited to join this global celebration.

A Mewtwo-themed photo spot will be set up on-site, paired with nighttime lighting effects to create a dreamy atmosphere. Multiple Pokémon decorations will also be installed along Xinzhongshan, making the area one of Taipei’s popular destinations this summer.

Pokémon-Themed EasyCard to Go on Sale
To coincide with the opening day of 2026 Pokémon GO Fest: Global, the Pokémon SUPERCARD-themed EasyCard - Mewtwo will officially go on sale starting July 11 at the Zhongshan, Zhongxiao Fuxing, and Nanjing Fuxing branches of Taipei Metro Souvenir Shop, as well as at Taipei Metro Online Store. Each set is priced at NT$250, and fans are welcome to purchase one for their collections.
