The 2026 Dadaocheng Summer Festival will run from July 25 to August 15 at Dadaocheng Wharf and Yanping Riverside Park. This year, the festival partners with Sony Pictures and Spider-Man to present two fireworks-and-drone light shows with a combined duration of 20 minutes, one eight-minute weekday fireworks show, and a concert at Yongle Plaza, inviting the public to enjoy a summer celebration.

On opening night, July 25, and for the finale on August 15, drone and fireworks performances will begin at 8:00 p.m. Spider-Man will traverse the night sky to original film music, presented together with Taipei City imagery. The August 5 weekday fireworks show, also at 8:00 p.m., will take "Creativity, Craftsmanship, and Romance" as its theme and feature shaped fireworks, crossing fan-shaped fireworks, eight-layer core shells, and weeping willow fireworks in an eight-minute performance.

Each fireworks show will also feature live music performances, with artists including Wendy Wander and Sweet John taking the stage. On the afternoon of August 1, Yongle Plaza will host a local music event and IP-themed activities, bringing fresh energy to the historic Dadaocheng district.

The festival grounds and the Dihua Street area will also feature a 9-meter-tall inflatable Spider-Man figure, a 180-meter themed waterfront light corridor, and interactive installations including the "Retro Upside-Down House." Local shops will also join in with special offers and a stamp-collection activity. As large crowds are expected during the fireworks and drone shows, visitors are encouraged to use public transportation and check traffic control information for event days.
