In July, Rongxing Garden Park begins a comprehensive renovation project to upgrade its facilities, landscapes, and overall environmental quality, creating an urban park that blends recreation with ecological character. The project is expected to be completed in December 2028.

Located in Zhongshan District, Taipei City, Rongxing Garden Park covers approximately 6.5 hectares. In its early years, it was Taipei's first European-style garden and charged admission; it was later taken over by the Taipei City Government and transformed into a free public park, becoming a shared memory for many residents. The park has undergone three phases of renovation, with an ecological pond and wetlands added. In recent years, continued efforts to create firefly habitats have attracted many visitors each April and May to enjoy firefly viewing.

The renovation will preserve the large lawn, ecological pond, and firefly habitats. Guided by the vision of "A Water-Green Garden Where People and Ecosystems Thrive Together," the plan includes hydrological landscapes, ecological conservation, a four-season green corridor, and a story-themed flower corridor. The bougainvillea corridor will be retained and upgraded, while sustainable design elements, including infiltration, permeability, and water-retention features, will be introduced to improve the ecological environment and landscape quality.
