In order to build an animal-friendly city and promote the concept of life education, the Taipei City Government has integrated Taiwan Dog Festival, World Rabies Day, World Animal Day, and other special days and events into the Taipei Animal Protection and Education Month, taking place in September 2024. The hope is, through rich and interesting activities, to raise public awareness and strengthen life education and related policy promotion.
