Baoan Cultural Festival presents a plethora of religious customs and folk practices including a folk formation contest and the lighting of the fire lion. The festival also features traditional Taiwanese opera, hand puppet theater, consecration of Baosheng Dadi (deity), tours of historical sites, free Chinese medicine clinic, arts and literary competitions, musical performances, the Baoan temple arts exhibition, and fire ceremony.
