“Taipei Hakka Yimin Festival” is an important and iconic celebration for Taipei Hakkas. Based on Yimin belief and from the perspective of immigrant festivals to present Hakka culture, all the Yimin Temples in Taiwan are invited to participate in the 3-day celebration. The festival reproduces the Hakka traditional ceremonies, “offering food with carrying poles” in the form of a parade to present the cultural meaning of the belief, and the feature of the Hakka culture is highlighted by a variety of artistic and cultural activities. In 2019, "One Hometown One Feature" is used to show the Hakka properties and cultural experiences. Meanwhile, this year we will focus on promoting the inheritance of the Hakka language, establishing families speaking the Hakka language and commending them to obtain better accomplishments, enriching the multiculturalism of Taipei with the intrinsic characteristics of Hakka culture.
