To promote Taipei City’s leading business districts, the Taipei City Office of Commerce has worked with the Taipei Business District & Industrial Confederation since 2016 to organize the Shopping District Carnival, inviting different types of business districts to take part, including local street food, shopping and tourism, each showcasing what they have to offer with exhibition activities to create new business opportunities. Every year, more than 20 business districts and more than 70 specialty stores take part in the carnival, attracting visitors to the city and promoting the districts' signature products.
